What is the Virtual Mid-Year Meeting?
The 2021 Association of Zoos and Aquariums Mid-Year Meeting will take place virtually due to restrictions related to the pandemic. While we all wish we could be together in-person, the health and safety of attendees comes first. The Virtual Mid-Year Meeting will provide for the ability to share information with a wider audience and allow attendees to revisit presentations they missed through recordings.
Similar to the 2020 Virtual Annual Conference, there will be two parts to the virtual experience this year:
- Meeting Week took place March 22-26. Committees, Animal Programs, SAGs, and SAFE Programs held working meetings open for the full AZA community to attend and observe. Recordings are now available.
- The Mid-Year Meeting took place place April 5-9. The Mid-Year Meeting included a variety of engaging programming anchored with general sessions and a virtual Exhibit Hall. The program includes summits, workshops, and opportunities for facilitated discussions and networking led by many Committees, Animal Programs, SAGs, SAFE Programs, and other groups. Recordings will be available to registered attendees until July 9.
